This three-wheeled beauty is the brainchild of Serbian industrial designer and professor Marko Lukovic, who was honored for his “Supersonic” concept car in the Michelin Challenge Design competition along with several other futuristic concepts. Designed to resemble a supersonic aircraft, the electric car would run on small lithium-ion batteries and be powered by in-wheel motors at both of the back wheels.

The roof of the Supersonic is a canopy constructed of photosensitive liquid crystal, which would darken to filter out bright light or offer extra privacy to the driver and passenger, who sit one in front of the other. Lukovic designed the car for a future in which cars can be driven or drive themselves, and in which car batteries are small enough to be removed from your vehicle and charged in your home or office like a cell phone.
