Suzanne LaGasa is a graphic designer for Dwell Magazine. She lived in apartment blocks in Brasilia, a company-town’s ranch-style home in the Amazon, chilly London flats, and amidst greenery in Washington State, before moving to madcap San Francisco. Suzanne studied international affairs at the University of Washington and graphic design at the California College of the Arts. She believes that good design is inventive and able to improve the quality of life, while remaining socially responsible and aware of environmental impact. In her drafty Mission apartment in San Francisco, she often wishes that smart design could be more easily accessible to all.
