Ecologic Pavilion was built for the Archi<20 Festivale de l'Architecture in September in Muttersholtz, Alsace, France. Designed by Studio 1984, the pavilion was built from straw, wood and metal sheets with the help of Bois2boo and Scierie Friederich. M&M candies come in every color of the rainbow – but what if honey came in the color of M&Ms? Distraught beekeepers in Northeastern France are facing just that conundrum, as honey from their apiaries has been turning up in shades of green and blue. After weeks of perplexing investigation, the farmers found the candy colored honey to be caused by waste from nearby Agrivalor biogas plant, which has been processing M&M’s waste.

From a distance, the patterns of the square windows and wood panels in the observatory seem to reflect the way light is filtered through the trees in the surrounding forest. The Drulingen Creche in Alsace has a concrete shell that is wrapped in a wooden envelope with dual functions.
