We’ve been following developments in e readers from the iPad to Sony’s new paperless platform, and now two more major players have entered the game. LG Display and iriver recently announced that they will be joining forces to produce e-book readers at iriver’s plant in China. The new $5 million joint venture will be called L&I Electronic Technology (Dongguan) Ltd, with iriver contributing its platform development and product design skills and LG working on their specialty – displays.
