<p>With projects like the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/burj-khalifa/">Burj Khalifa</a> under his belt, architect Adrian Smith has become synonymous with supertall skyscrapers &#8211; so it&#8217;s no surprise that his firm, <a href="http://smithgill.com/">Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill</a>, is the creative force behind <a href="http://smithgill.com/work/imperial_tower/">Imperial Tower</a>, a 116-story tower that&#8217;s proposed for Mumbai. The only problem with building such a tall tower in Mumbai is dealing with the wind, but AS+GG have come up with a solution for that. The firm claims that the skinny tower is aerodynamically shaped to &#8220;confuse the wind.&#8221; Strange as that may sound, the tower will also feature several sky gardens that the firm says will further help to break up wind currents around the building.</p>

But <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/kia/">Kia Motors</a>&nbsp;is charting new territory in car dealership design with the opening of <a href="http://kia-buzz.com/kia-opens-its-first-solar-powered-dealership-worldwide-in-south-africa/">a new&nbsp;solar-powered dealership</a> in Weltevreden Park, South Africa. The new building, which opened its doors earlier this month, features roof-mounted solar panels, energy-efficient lighting, and <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/rainwater/">rainwater harvesting</a>, making it one of the greenest car dealerships in the world.</p>

<p><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Jensen">Lord Mayor Frank Jensen</a> of Copenhagen recently announced that the city is on track for 2025 <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/carbon-neutral/">carbon neutrality</a>. If measures implemented to reach this important milestone are successful, Copenhagen would be the first city in the world to do so. Intrepid residents of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/denmark-constructs-bicycle-superhighways-for-copenhagens-commuters/">Denmark&#8217;s capital already bike</a> in even the most frigid winter weather, significantly greening up the transportation sector, but a host of other initiatives have been put in place to make the city even more energy-efficient so that a goal of zero carbon emissions can be reached by 2025.</p>

Designed by <a href="http://www.3dreid.com/">3DReid</a>, One Angel Square will be the new 500,000 square-foot home for the UK’s largest mutual retailer, <a href="http://www.co-operative.coop/corporate/aboutus/">The Co-Operative Group</a>. &nbsp;This new £100 million low-energy, highly sustainable headquarters will house the 3,500 employees of The Co-Operative Group. As it has just been completed, the project represents a tremendous opportunity for the citizens of Manchester see what <a href="http://inhabitat.com/sustainable-building/">sustainable building</a> can achieve.</p>
