The ‘Be a Bee’ pavilion at the international garden fair Floriade is an initiative by the Dutch Beekeepers Association designed to give the face of beekeeping a fresh new look. A cool new design that brings modern architecture into the mix, the structure also integrates Cradle to Cradle principles into to the mix to reduce its footprint. The Be a Bee invites visitors to discover everyday life of a bee, from collecting pollen and nectar in the open to the work inside the beehive. The pavilion is the joint effort of meier+moor architecture, Studio Kernland and Werkmannen.
