Architects Steve Buetow and Scott Helmes from Minnesota have teamed up to make these fabulous pieces of Corian [1] tableware in a range of colors and designs. The guys were laid off from their full time jobs and decided to use the time to form S2BH [2], a partnership which focuses on creating functional art from recycled and industrial material [3]. Fascinated by Corian’s food-safe and flexible qualities, S2BH created these unique bowls and baskets which are on sale to the public at the Walker Art Center [4] gift shop in Minneapolis. Their other projects include vases made from recycled test tubes and scrap aluminium — we can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
