Inspired by farmers' creativity, Yunlin -- the largest agricultural county in Taiwan -- presented a set of cute bird nests and stools designed by DHH Studio and made from rice stems.

This year’s DMY featured many flat-pack, no-glue no-screws designs, but the most intriguing was Gustav Duesing 23D chair made from interlocking pieces of birch plywood.

Jolan Van Der Wiels unveiled a set of spiky candle holders made using the same crazy magnetic shaping technique used to form his gravity defying stools.

Repurposed materials were also big this year – these beautiful sparkling lights are made by Findelkind from repurposed cooking whisks.
