Gallery: The Danish Design Center Shop...

The Danish Design Center’s Shop in Copenhagen is an exhibition on its own right, where everything is available for sale. The shop offers a great variety of Danish and Scandinavian products ranging from toys to kitchen items, books and camping accessories. The shop also serves as the grand entrance to the design exhibitions and international conferences held within the Center at this year's Copenhagen Design Week. Read on for a look at more fantastic objects like this retro-chic bamboo and PLA (corn based plastic) Lexon radio, which can be completely powered by a hand crank.

Normann-Copenhagen’s Mormor tableware collection is available in white and blue, and it is made from low-water use ceramic and renewable cork.

Fjällräven‘s classic bags are very durable and come in a variety of colors. But best of all, the Swedish company offsets (via Tricorona) its carbon emissions generated during production and transportation.

The Omhu Cane is ‘a walking stick with attitude’. Inspired by Scandinavian furniture, the cane features a handle with extra grip and it’s made from birch hand-finished with Livos oil, a non-toxic, plant-based finish.
