I entered a design called "United we stand...for the people." It was 4 world trade centers, two pools and waterfalls and so much more. The design has so much meaning to it, for each aspect of it.It was all heart for the people, even down to the names by the pools to the area in the museum, the victims personal items. I was shocked to see it, brought tears to my eyes. Not because it was so much of my designs that was taken but because it was built."for the people." I do not need the recognition because it was made clear to me I was not an architect.I had a dream, the one you have when it is so real,I was walking through the memorial. I knew it would be built. I am just your average everyday person not in any firm.Believe me this memorial has so much heart and the meanings, even the waterfalls, it would touch you deep to know them. If you don't believe you can find the designs in the competition memorial designs. If you want to know the true meanings and the inspiration for the design you can email me at udoit123@yahoo.com When I was designing them I went and talked to the fireman police officers and a friend that lost her husband. Also went to Shanksville, PA. It was for the people. This happens, and I have no anger, I thank God for the designs, I thank God it was built for the people. I was only the tool.God Bless, my heart goes out to the ones who lost and always to the ones who didn't come home that day.A day that will forever be etched in my heart.
