Gallery: The Greenest Restaurant in America is in Omaha, Nebraska

 

Up and coming Omaha can now add a new accolade to its name – it has the greenest restaurant in America, so named by the Green Restaurant Association. The Grey Plume, which celebrated its opening on December 10th in the Midtown Crossing Development in downtown Omaha, Nebraska, recently became the nation’s first three star SustainaBuild™ Certified Green Restaurant®. The seasonally driven restaurant recycles, composts, reduces waste, saves energy and water, and incorporated reclaimed and eco friendly materials in its build out.
