Gallery: The ‘Invisible Bicycle” is Made From Transparent Plastic Panel...


We have seen some neat alternative bicycles out there, but Jimmy Kuehnle’s “Invisible Bicycle” is clearly unique. Everything on the bike is completely transparent except for the chain and the bearings. Made using Lexan panels, or “bullet-proof glass” the boxy bike comes with matching vinyl suit. Fabricated in 2005 for a ride in Austin, Texas, the art installation/see-through steed was spotted throughout town, seemingly suspending its rider above a set of wheels. Invisible never looked so good!
