For a few years now Kubik has travelled Europe setting up prefab nightlife for thousands ready to groove. Behind the light show's bumps and beats are towers of common water tanks stacked high to provide backdrops for countless shows and festivals. Designed by Blestra Berlin, the instant venues have hit all corners of the continent in all conditions to keep the bash lit late into the night. The simple idea morphed into a full green scene—click to hit the dance floor.
The mobile entertainment business is rampant with waste since setups are often used only once for a location and dumped, as it is cheaper to start all over again than truck the materials to a new venue. But back in 2006 some enterprising folks set up some commercial tanks and lights and a green party revolution was born. The tanks respond to the music, immersing the audience in a bath of colors, forms and beats. Now after more than four years the prefab party set up has proven to be a hit and party throwers see huge savings in materials and energy.
