Working on your laptop in public can be distracting, and it can be difficult to keep your work private from the wandering eyes of the people around you. Electronics guru Becky Stern [2] came up with a playful solution to both problems with this knitted “Compubody” garment that will keep your head and hands warm while sealing you off from your surroundings. But don’t worry; Stern isn’t entirely serious about wearing the thing. Instead, she views it as “a fun commentary on how attached and concentrated on technology we are, and to highlight the lack of movement that happens when we’re engrossed in our laptops, keyboards, PDAs, etc.”
