The Nail Cloud Lamp is a Cumulus of Sharp Nails Suspended by a Magnetic Field

Made from hundreds of standard metal nails, the Nail Cloud is a customizable lamp that will make a sharp addition to any interior space. Handmade by product designer Ilias Ernst , the lamp is held together with a hanging magnet strong enough to suspend small metal objects within its magnetic field. The cumulus of sharp nails floats around a light bulb creating a shade, and a fantastic play of shadows can be seen projected on the surrounding walls.
Made from nails and magnets positioned around a hanging light , the Nail Cloud remains ever unique and fully customizable. The user can easily change the shape and size of the light simply by adding other metal objects to the magnetic field.
Ilias Ernst works from his Amsterdam-based studio creating unique everyday objects out of common, affordable materials.
