Located on the Costa Brava in Spain, this private residence gets a lot of sun year round, so the designer, along with artist Frederic Amat and ceramist Toni Cumella, sought alternative materials to regulate the building’s interior temperature. In addition to the plastic bubbles, wavy Corian ceramic plates made from digitally-cut moulds cover the roof’s north side, further deflecting solar gain.
