The PaperChair is an eco-friendly chair made from 100% recycled materials, including expired flour and old newspapers. To create the chair, two students of Faculty of Architecture in Slovenia [4], Peter Plantan and Nusa Zupanc, first used thinly shredded old newspaper, a natural flour-based glue and recycled foam board to create a molded frame. After a mold was shaped, damp paper slices were layered and pressed together to form the surface of the PaperChair. The students’ design won first prize at the Architecture Workshop [5]AWR Awards [5].
