Commissioned by a writer in the midst of a major lifestyle change, the Spence house is tucked away in an agricultural enclave of Cornwall, CT. Strategically-placed windows permit the perfect amount of daylighting [1] without excess solar gain and bursts of color bring the interior to life.

Feng Shui-informed [2] and built using sustainably-sourced and all natural materials, the compact home blends in with the natural surroundings. The home was arranged on site to have spectacular views of the surrounding Housatonic Valley [3], while tall ceilings matches the interior expansiveness with the outdoors.
