Gallery: The Wedge: Heimplanet’s New Inflatable Two-Person Tent Pops Up...

 
Last year, tentmaker Heimplanet unveiled The Cave, an inflatable geodesic dome tent that appealed to both backpackers and design buffs alike. Now, the innovative company has released a new, smaller version of its inflatable tent, called The Wedge. Like its big brother, The Wedge comes without cumbersome poles that are difficult to set up; instead, the structure is supported by a network of inflatable tubes. The new design is much smaller and lighter than The Cave, and it's very easy to set up.

    I carry a nice 2-3lb tent that uses my hiking pole(s). I\\\’m not so sure I\\\’d want to add 4 lbs to my load while also risking having no shelter if this thing springs a leak? I\\\’m not really sure that\\\’s worth avoiding having to \\\”struggle with poles\\\”.
