The ‘World’s Safest Bike’ Glows Bright White When it Hits the Streets at Night

Josh Zisson [4] set out to design the safest bike on the road – and the key to safety in traffic is visibility. In addition to a dynamo-powered lighting system, the bike is coated with a patented retro-reflective powder coat that’s by a company called Halo Coatings [5]. When headlights hit it, the entire bike glows bright white. The coating is cheap, extremely durable, environmentally-friendly, and much cheaper than existing reflective technologies. Josh is holding a contest to name his bike next week, and the grand prize winner gets a hand-built wheelset, featuring Halo’s reflective coating.
