Two wheeled urban transportation has never been so effortless, portable, or head turning. Hitting streets in carbon-fiber black, the YikeBike, provides an electric drive train that allows users to sit up and take in their commute. The YikeBike can go as far as 9-10km (around 6 miles) in one charge and comes with its own carrying bag weighing in at a total of 10kg (22lbs). If you have a longer commute and are worried about your ride home, you’ll be happy to know that the bike charges to over 80% in less than 20 minutes.

Those worried about safety will be fascinated to know that the YikeBike is the first 2-wheeled electronic urban transport vehicel to integrate electronic anti-skid brakes giving the rider smooth braking at a shorter stopping distance than its bicycle counterparts. The YikeBike also has built in break and light indicators, meaning your hands never have to leave the steering wheel. The upright position is supposedly safer and allows for a better point of view when navigating through urban congestion. The YikeBike is also geared to go no more than 20km/hr (12.43 mph), so you don’t have to worry about the bike running away from you.

This is one cool ride that is hard not to take interest in, if only for the opportunity to ride it, but its price tag is $4,450, so we just might sit this one out for a while.
