From passionate party-throwers to interior decor enthusiasts, everyone knows details matter a great deal. One way to impress guests is by putting a spin on the traditional drink coaster to reflect your wanderlust. The Topo Coasters from Tom Will Make are etched with 3D topography from actual national parks. They're a sure conversation starter, and their renewable cork construction makes them environmentally-friendly to boot.
Tom Will Make has released the first in its series of Topo Coasters, featuring the natural curves of the Red River Gorge in Kentucky. The coordinates are engraved in the bottom, and the tops depict the graceful elevations of the river. Made out of cork from the Quercus Suber tree, or the Cork Oak, the coasters are a highly absorbent natural product. Cork Oaks can be harvested every 9-12 years, and only the outer bark is removed, allowing the tree itself to live up to 200 years without damage.
It is unknown what other special places will be featured in future series, yet almost guaranteed that those who enjoy the outdoors and travel to nature’s gorgeous must-see locations will be pleased. A set of 4 coasters can be purchased for $39 USD.
