Every year for the past 6 years, artist Harald Geisler has been creating a brilliant Typographic Wall Calendar made entirely out of recycled keyboard keys. Geisler uses the exact number of keys to correspond with the year (2,015 keys for 2015) and assembles it in a way that is kind of amazing. According to Geisler, “this typography calendar makes finding dates a fun and creative process. If you read the keys from left to right, they show each day of the year in sequence: JANUARY TUE 01 WED 02 THUR 03 etc.” It’s the perfect way to add a calendar to a room in a way that doesn’t actually scream calendar. The 2015 version is ready to ship and available on Geisler’s website.
