This Valentines Day, a new heart-shaped boardwalk made from Hurricane Sandy debris will be installed in Times Square. The “Heartwalk” is being designed by Brooklyn-based Situ Studio , which beat out eight other firms in the design competition. The installation will pay homage to the “love that binds people together during trying times” by reusing boardwalk boards salvaged from Long Beach, Sea Girt, and Atlantic City after Hurricane Sandy .
