The recent collaboration between star Dutch designer Tord Boontje and the uber-hip Spanish rug company Nanimarquina is truly a great combination- like chocolate and mint, or peanut butter and jelly. The two independently-fabulous design entities have joined forces to create the playfully genius Little Field Of Flowers rug, whose floral shaggy tendrils are just as endearing as they are warm and fuzzy under your bare toes.

Looks great and probably feels nice on the feet, but what happens when you have to clean it? It’s not possible to vacuum that, is it?
Well, I suppose I’d still get it if it included the girl.
So much for reducing surfaces that collect debris and allergens!
At least wool is a good choice – but maybe an organic dry-cleaning maintenance plan should be included in the purchase price.
Although sometimes I wish I could make a micro-biome in my office, I’m sure creating (to say nothing of maintaining) a living indoor lawn would be difficult if not impossible without at least some significant renovations, maybe something like the Tord Boontje Flower Rug would be an acceptable and fun substitute.
I love this. It is adorable. I wonder how much it costs. Do you have any idea? I am building a house in Marrakesh in the middle of an olive grove. It would be so nice to bring the forest inside too;-)
This is great for people who are allergic to leaves and forests. Bad for people who are allergic to carpet.
Absolutely breathtaking.
I’m speechless at the beauty of yet another of his designs.
