Toyota recently unveiled the FT-CH, a hybrid concept car that stands to one-up the Prius in terms of price and performance. A full two feet shorter than its predecessor, the compact hybrid is lighter, nimbler, and more fuel-efficient, making it great for city driving. Although it isn’t officially going into production just yet, Toyota is hinting at a production version that will be priced lower then the current Prius and part of a new ‘Prius Family’ of cars.

why this ‘robot style’ for all new cars?

  2. I think the ‘robot style’ is mostly due to the fact that this is a concept car. Many concept cars are fairly ‘robotic’ and their actual production counterparts end up looking much more standard. That being said, I think this car is cute and would drive it exactly as it is!

Detroit has the chance to take the automotive industry green! The Toyota FT-CH, the Electric Fiat 500, the Ford Fusion Hybrid, and the Honda CR-Z hybrid are all great eco-friendly cars: let’s hope for more like them as the Auto Show continues.
