Gallery: InstantSlide Prefab House Pops Up in a Minute with the Push of...

The InstantSlide House is a temporary housing solution for employees of companies who work on remote locations, but the transportable, modular house makes a great alternative to conventional single family homes as well. The amazing prefab home can be assembled on-site in less than a minute by simply pushing a button, and it’s the latest in a series of SMART2 (Superfast + Modular + Affordable + Robust + Transportable) buildings manufactured by Australian company JAYZ Building Solutions.

The house is comprised of a 20 foot or 40 foot container that can be installed and taken down via a remote controller in a matter of minutes. It can be assembled as a freestanding temporary or permanent home, or act as an extension to an existing structure. The InstantSlide House model can measure either 25 square meters or 50 square meters and can accommodate two to four people. The company manufactures larger sizes but these can’t be automatically assembled.

The house has a steel structure that can withstand D2 rated cyclones. It has a pre-installed bathroom and kitchen and is hard wired for TV, telephone and the internet. Other optional features include a solar-powered heat pump, hot water unit and an AC unit.
