As evidenced by our recent Transportation Tuesday greener car posts [2], we’re all for the greening of the automobile. But the greenest car is the one that doesn’t exist. That’s the idea behind Carectomy.com [3], a blog with the goal of “removing cars from people.”

Carectomy takes a unique approach to making our auto-focused world more sustainable: What if there were no cars on our cities? Not to say that cars shouldn’t exist, but rather, Carectomy is changing the focus from an autocentric point of view to one which works without it. So if you have a car dependency, or can’t afford the newer greener cars on the market, or just want to go car-free, check them out.
