Music producer and engineer Ryan Hadlock has teamed up with Animal Planet’s TV show Treehouse Masters to build a treehouse recording studio at his famed Bear Creek Studio near Seattle. Hadlock's new recording studio was “christened” by Grammy winner CeeLo Green, who is no stranger to sustainability efforts-in 2012 he launched the Greenhouse Foundation in Atlanta. Green is using the studio to work on his latest single.
The Bear Creek Studio provides a secluded and rustic setting for musicians and producers to work on their music and, in addition to a turn-of-the-century barn converted into a high-tech recording studio, Hadlock’s project now includes a cozy treehouse nestled between western red cedars.
Animal Planet’s famous TV show ‘Treehouse Masters’ came on-site and built the new structure 18 feet off the ground. The episode is scheduled to air on February 21st and shows the building process and Hadlock’s first impressions of the place. The team made sure to incorporate various sustainable features, including a composting toilet.
