Trophies Without Tears: Old Bike Parts Get Upcycled into Wall Art

by , 06/06/14

Upcycled Trophies is a series of wall mounts created by Spanish sculptor Enrique Recio, who combines his twin passions for sculpture and vintage bicycle restoration to create these one-of-a-kind art pieces. Hand-cut and sewn in the Neumatikworks design workshop in Spain, each faux hunting trophy is made with vintage recycled bike seats and bicycle tires. Each trophy hints at depicting wildlife and endangered species, but no animals are harmed in the process. The creative intention is to give a second life to bicycles that are no longer rideable.
