Not sure what else to say about this one other than its deceptively simple. If you want to bask in that cool glow of your cathode ray tube, but don’t want the distracting flicker of images, then the DVD Light is the way to go. Simply pop this DVD into your player, then select from 8 different colors to illuminate your room. You can also play the 8 colors in a sequence, if you are feeling particularly psychedelic.
This is essentially a screensaver stripped down to its bare essence. It’s almost ridiculous in its simplicity, but I like the minimalism and the way it transforms your TV from boob-tube into something a little more elegant.
$35 from Realm Dekor

Hehe, well, seems to me that it’s not a good idea, to show all the colors in the product shots. Everybody with a DVD-Writer, a graphic Software with a color picking tool and a low priced (probably free, like iDVD on Macs) DVD Authoring software should be able to produce his own DVD-Light. And that much cheaper than $35. Oh, and those people can add their favorite color, too.
isn’t it bad to leave one color on a tv as that causes burn-in?
You would have to be pretty dumb to pay $35 for a DVD that doesnt even have any content. Like the previous post said, you could make your own very very easily.
While it is true that many people could easily make this themselves, if they wanted to sit down and take the time to figure it out – I think you would find that the amount of hassle and time it would take to author this would be greater than $35. Given the choice of a couple hours of fiddling, or $35, I would probably just pay the $35 to save myself the time. It is really not that much money when you think about it.
I’m sure that if there was more of a demand for this, the DVDs would go down in price significantly.
but for some, there is joy in those hours of fiddling…
