U.K. Student Makes “Jimmy Cheese” Platform Wedges From Stale Cheddar Sandwich

If you can’t stand when people waste food, then take a cue from the students at Bath Spa University in the UK, who made an entire line of shoes out of stale cheese! Somerset cheese manufacturer Pilgrims Choice enlisted 50 first-year co-eds from the Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors program to take part in their national “cheese couture” competition. While the results were nothing short of sharp, our hearts melted at the sight of Lisa Dillon’s “Jimmy Cheese” platform wedges, which she stacked high from cheddar and bread.
