Whether you like to turn them into a makeshift megaphones or let them stick to their roles as traditional roadblocks, traffic cones carry a whole lot of opportunity for creativity. Another ingenious submission to our 2010 Spring Greening Competition challenging creative crafters to breathe new life into old junk, Loreta Haaker’s Cone Light takes 6 re-used orange traffic cones and fashions them into a luminous city star. And with that characteristic otherworldly orange glow, this lamp goes from a piece of funkified urban decor by day to an ambient interior lamp in the evening. If you love it, vote for it here!
