The University of Minnesota has already built a LEED stadium, TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The building is finished and in use as of last fall: http://www.gophersports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=8400&ATCLID=204796278

I'm sorry, but your post makes a HUGE mistake and is very misleading. The first LEED certified college football stadium opened in September 2009 at the University of Minnesota. TCF Bank Stadium received LEED Silver status before it hosted its first game and holds over 50,000 people.
