Utrecht’s Rainbow Shipping Container Dorms Are a Work of Art

While we’ve seen other shipping container student housing [6] before, Utrecht’s version is slightly different because the containers themselves seem to have been modified further than what we typically see. For one thing, the sides of the containers [7] are smooth (as compared to the corrugated look we are used to). In addition, the end of each unit where the window is has been cut so that the top and bottom are slanted rather than straight. The small detail gives the complex a much more finished look and creates a separation between the units.
