We get the sense that the folks from Valentin Vodev Studio got so tired of hearing people say that biking is not practical for everyday activities like grocery shopping that they designed the Vienna Bike in response. Technically it is a tricycle that is both human and electrically-powered, but a unique suspension system makes the ride feel every bit like being on a bicycle. And even better, this elegant bike from Austria comes with a handy extension bar and cargo box that can carry a trunk load of groceries and stump the naysayers.
Vodev’s work is impressive. This bike, along with his other design (The expanding rear wheels to provide storage) have great designs. I think I want one of his “Child Pullers”. Perfect when I go out with my nieces and nephews. I wonder how much these retail for.
