Veganism and the Environment Infographic Shows the Environmental Impact of Raising Animals for Food

Can you quantify the environmental footprint of your diet? This amazing infographic by Spencer Belkofer [4] shows the impact that raising animals for food has on the environment. Belkofer compiled data from the United Nations, the University of Chicago, PETA, and other credible sources to take a by-the-numbers look at the meat, egg, and dairy industries [5] that is often shocking. (Did you know that it takes 2,400 gallons of water [6] and 16 pounds of grain to produce a single pound of meat?) Check out the full infographic after the break!
