Belkofer compiled data from the United Nations, the University of Chicago, PETA, and other credible sources to take a by-the-numbers look at the meat, egg, and dairy industries that is often shocking. I assume that Vegans dream world would be for everyone to be Vegan. Every animal to live in harmony and be free. That being said, do you think there would be an over population and infestion of aniamls and insects? What would we do?
Many animals like cows and chickens for instance do not live in the wild. They are not considered pets either. If everyone became Vegan, there would be no reason to raise cows, chickens, and other animals and they would eventually become extinct. Is this what those animals want? Is this what Vegans want?
For those that have watched the Lion King, I believe its the circle of life. We are meant to eat meat, but should respect the animals that we eat to survive.
Do I think in general humans eat more meat than we should? Yes, absolutely. Lets work on informing people on reducing meat intake, not eliminating it.
Best decision I ever made…becoming a vegan!
