We love seeing fresh ideas for lighting solutions [2] made from recycled materials [3], and UK designer James Shaw [4]‘s Jar Lamps are a great example of simple yet innovative recycling. To create these lights Shaw sandblasts glass jars and then drills the lids to accommodate regular light fittings. They can be set upon a freestanding base or hung from a ceiling or wall, making them a snap to incorporate them into any room of the house.
