Recently the folks over at Vinylize – known for their groovy recycled goods – got their hands on a bunch of burlap coffee bean bags from all over the world from local roasters. No strangers to repurposing, the company collaborated with a local leather goods producer in Hungary and came up with the concept of a bag which could be accessed anytime, even if it is hanging on one’s shoulder. The design is based off the American masonry bag and also the old style carpet bag. A hinged aluminum frame at the mouth as well as pressed board on the bottom serve reinforce and allow accessibility. The straps are woven nylon and the bottom covering is heavy duty impregnated canvas and the inside cavity has pockets all along the walls. It also features an ergonomic no-slip shoulder pad. All the hardware is metal. The finished size is 20 liters – more than enough for daily use, it will fit most any laptop, lunch, clothes etc. Right now you can order your own from the company’s Kickstarter page and start your urban travels in style.
