Victoria Bartlett’s New York Fashion Week [2]runway presentation for VPL [1] Fall Winter 2012 was a collection of delightfully fresh knits and flowing frocks, each more surprising than the one before. Dubbed “Manipulate,” the line was “a subversive study of the body’s geography manipulated anew” and took inspiration from the choreography of dancer Michael Clark, examining the” tension between abandon and control, shadow and reflection, fluidity and gravity’s pull”.
