The human body is made up of 70% water, but few are familiar with the long journey this essential resource takes as it travels to us - or the amount of water it takes to produce the products we consume. To raise awareness of the concept of embedded water (the water it takes to produce the products we buy), Holdup and Bloo Nation created a street art installation made from from 1,200 recycled water tanks. Commission by METAL Culture the undulating blue 'Waving Wall' in Chalkwell, Britain aims to create waves of change in the way we use water.

Did you know that it takes 140 liters of water to produce a standard cup of coffee – without milk? This is virtual water footprint includes the H20 used to irrigate and process the coffee beans and package, ship and distribute the coffee to our supermarkets. Unveiled in mid 2011, Waving Wall is a visual representation of the vast journey water takes, as well as the amount of water used in the production of certain products, and the average water usage of an individual. The wall features many displays that show the amount of water it takes to produce individual products (like coffee) as well as information regarding water consumption.
