This year more than ever, Earth Day (this Sunday, April 22) is an important day for us to all stop, think, and make a difference. With the growing interest and attention that green design and sustainability have been gathering, 2007 is really a year that the masses are motivated to gather, celebrate, and make a commitment to protecting our planet. Even though we are of the firm belief that “Earth Day” should be EVERY day – it is still nice to have an opportunity to come together and focus on our planet for a week. Read on for a list of some key events worth attending… everything from fashion shows to concerts, and even Governor Arnold pimping his ride. And stay tuned for a special Earth Day post this Sunday.
GREEN APPLE FESTIVAL
This tri-city festival is about as big and green as it gets. If you’re in New York, Chicago, or San Francisco, definitely check out Green Apple’s awesome lineup of music and art. Everyone from Dave Matthews to American Idol’s Taylor Hicks will be there- all for a good cause.

The Festival comes through Chicago this weekend. It’s the IKEA of green events- enormous, accessible, and with everything you could possibly want.
3-Form, one of our favorite green manufacturers and the creator of EcoResin, is hosting a great lineup of in-house events and lectures this entire week. Highlights include Thursday’s focus on Sustainable Architecture and LEED. While the events are only open to 3-Form employees, it’s worth looking at the lineup and recaps of each of the lectures.

THE GREEN GOVERNATOR PIMPS HIS RIDE ON MTV
If NOVA sounds a little to academic for your television taste, switch over to MTV’s Pimp My Ride on Sunday at 1pm/12pm CST, where California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will be pimping out a 1965 Chevy Impala into fuel efficient, biodiesel, lean mean machine. Via Treehugger.
