In August Forty-one consumer-owned grocer cooperatives and natural food retailers released an open letter to Hershey Company. The letter–which essentially asks the organization to end child slave labor on cocoa farms and fully commit to ethically sourced cocoa made under fair labor standards—has one noticeably absent signature: Whole Foods.
