Accident-prone smartphone owners can finally breathe a sigh of relief and stop with the bowls of dry rice – the tech start-up Wickedleak just unveiled the world’s first waterproof smartphone. The curiously-named Wammy Passion X is internally and externally coated with a molecular nanocoating called AquaProtect. The “hydrophobic smartphone” can be submerged in a variety of liquids with no damage to the device.

In addition to being the first truly waterproof smartphone, the Wammy Passion X has a number of innovative features. It comes with a 5-inch IPS OGS touchscreen with 1080p resolution and an octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM.

The phone uses the Android 4.2 operating system and features a 13MP camera with auto image stabilization, a LED flash and auto focus. The Whammy Passion X is currently priced at approximately $320.00 US dollars.
