Since and Coca-Cola launched their ‘Ekocycle’ initiative in July to educate the hip, young crowd about the importance of recycling, scores of brands have joined the fun, including Levi’s and Case-Mate. The jeans and smart phone and tablet accessory companies both joined last week with new products made with either partial or fully recycled materials, while Dr. Dre and New Era have been a part of the fun all along. This educational campaign is also aimed at helping today’s youth understand the role their purchasing decisions play in the bigger economic and social picture.
