I would love to attend this conference. I am a mechnical engineering graduate actually starting a career in construction and chemical engineering. I hope to gain information for residential and commercial use. I am hoping to one day build my own home and perhaps start my own firm. This would be a great opportunity not only for a future career paths but for education in the green engineering world. I find that information needs to be passed along through industry faster and I hope our generation can put these ideas into commercial practices quickly and with more widespread purpose.

I would love to go to make connections… I am currently an unemployed Architect who was laid off a week after passing his LEED exam. I am trying to get into the field of working on environmentally friendly designs including starting my own furniture line. I think this would be a great chance for me to get to meet people and hopefully get me back in the field. -Howard Williams

I am a New York City real estate developer who is currently working on an ambitious project that will incorporate multiple sustainable and green systems into the existing building and to-be-constructed rooftop green-space environment. The sustainable solutions portion of the project will incorporate state-of-the-art technologies including wind turbine, water reclamation, passive and active solar, green roof, and advanced air filtration just to name a few. I would love to see what other solutions are being utilized by my peers.

We are currently building a green demonstration house on San Juan Island, WA and are trying to keep up with all the latest green technologies that we can for the home. We are pursuing LEED Gold, NAHB Emerald, Green Built Northwest, and Energy Star certifications. More importantly though, we are using the project for educational purposes, working with a variety of schools and non-profits to show how you can do low impact building/living on the Puget Sound — very controversial right now!
