Gallery: Wood and Woad’s Great and Green British Designs at the London ...

The Wood and Woad showcase at London’s Few and Far Gallery provided a great space to see some of the top locally produced green designs at this year's London Design Festival. The show featured everything from furniture by Pinch, great vessels made entirely from twigs by Jane Bevan, and inventive lamps from top designer Ingo Maurer. Jump ahead for a peek at our favorites from this superb, one day design show!

Mammalampa‘s Pendant Lamp is a cloud-like piece that emits a warm diffused light. Made from untreated paper, the light fixture is a beautiful piece that could easily take center-stage in a big room.

The furniture company Thonet have been awarded the Green Globe Certification for creating pieces of simple yet stylish eco furniture.

Using banana-fiber to form the outer shell of the Soren Lamp, Pinch creates an organic looking and warming light. The fabric is pulled over the frame in a dress style finish.

Lamp designer Ingo Maurer has created these beautiful, mobile light fixtures that seem inspired by old metal paint tubes, but give a fresh feel to the gallery space.

Constructing vessels and vases from twigs and bark, Jane Bevan uses materials she sourced herself in her the area surrounding South Derbyshire.

These quirky Eu/Phoria chairs from Few and Far are a comfortable and practical design, yet are made from Woodstock – a material mixture of scrap metal and polypropylene often used in the automobile industry.
