Worst Forms of Child Labor Occur in India’s Garment Industry

Whether you grew up in the city or were a suburban-raised child, the issue of child labor [1] was most likely outside of the realm of your understanding. Today, the labor exploitation of children is still a widespread issue afflicting thousands of  kids as young as 10 years old. They are being subjected to unacceptable working conditions to produce low-cost garments for the European and U.S. markets, and according to a new report by the Centre for Research on Multinational Corporations [2] (SOMO), countries such as India are the worst offenders.
