Zara Pledges to Eliminate Toxic Chemicals After Being Called Out By Consumers

After a week of intense pressure from Greenpeace’s “Detox” campaign [2], Zara and its parent company have¬†pledged to eliminate all hazardous chemicals from its supply chain and products by 2020. The companies will begin to address some of the serious environmental and health issues they have skirted thus far, including requiring that its suppliers¬†disclose pollution data to communities at the site of water pollution.
